Largest individual order in the company’s history: USK wins the contract for the initial equipping of assembly technology for the new plant Volkswagen Mechatronic in Stollberg/Saxony.

USK have been awarded a prize as a top finalist at the Grand Prix for Medium-Sized Enterprises
Back in 2001 USK had already been awarded once with the "Oscar for medium-sized businesses" ("Oskar für den Mittelstand", by the Oskar-Patzelt- Foundation). In the meantime that award has become the "Grand Prix for Medium-Sized Enterprises". For the ongoing positive development the company has now been nominated for the "Grand Prix for Medium-Sized Enterprises" (earlier "Oscar of Oscars") by the Presidium of the city council of Chemnitz, the regional authorities of the Chemnitz county and the City Council of Limbach-Oberfrohna.
On the occasion of the country-wide event on 29/10/2005 in Berlin the special price "top finalist at the Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Enterprises" has been awarded to USK. Managing Directors Frank Walther and Thilo Utz accepted the award in person.

October 2006
USK awarded with 'Grand Prix of SME'!
On 28th October the 'Grand Prix of SME' was held in Berlin. USK Karl Utz Sondermaschinen GmbH has been awarded with the 'Premier'. The prize, which is unique in Germany, was given for USKs outstanding economical performance.
