INPROCESS – System technology development for process-integrated quality assurance and (partially) automated final assembly of fuel cell stacks

As part of the engineering project, a work station for the partially automated assembly of fuel cell stacks was developed.

Options in functions:

  • Stacking
  • Pressing in
  • Screwing
  • Final assembly
  • Tests

 Optional inspections of:

  • Leakage
  • Impedance
  • Insulation
  • Geometry

Features:

  • Reduced error impact due to reduced influence of the worker
  • Monitored stacking
  • Error recognition very early
  • Reduced assembly time

Effects:

  • Enhancing stack quality
  • Increase in stacking power
  • Lower NOK rate
  • Process reliability

The work station for stack assembly can be adapted to different stack designs and offered in different levels.
